Meanwhile, Mexican driver Sergio Pérez has stated that, of all the remaining circuits, Baku and Singapore are the most suitable for Red Bull cars. Speaking ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Pérez expressed confidence that Red Bull should be more competitive in Baku.

"Currently, with our car, street circuits like Baku and Singapore suit us the best. In Baku, we should be more competitive. Once we resolve the issues with the car, we’ll immediately gain speed and be back in the fight," Pérez said.

He emphasised that success in Baku will depend on finding the right balance.

"I’ve won here twice and feel confident, but this is a different weekend, and past achievements don’t count. It’s a new challenge, and I hope to find the right balance. Trusting the car is crucial in Baku. If we achieve that, we have a chance for a successful weekend," the Red Bull driver concluded.

Moreover, the first accident occurred during the free practice session of the Formula 2 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku. Oliver Goethe's car from the MP Motorsport team crashed into a safety barrier. The incident led to a red flag being waved by the marshals, and the car was subsequently evacuated from the track.
